Full description: Depart Ho Chi Minh City early in the morning at around 5:00 AM and relax on the 3-hour drive to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta.
Navigate the water channels by boat and make your way to Cai Rang Floating Market to join the hustle and bustle of the locals. Discover how to make vermicelli – a main part of the authentic noodle soup from Vietnam before wandering through the village and meeting some of the locals.
Learn how to cross a “monkey bridge” built from a single stem of bamboo. Taste exotic fruit from an orchard garden and visit a rice mill to learn how rice is processed. After visiting Cai Rang floating market, we will travel to My Tho to explore more of the Mekong Delta.
Arrive at the quay, take a motorized boat cruising along the river to Ben Tre, known as the coconut kingdom.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, take a walk along the village path. Stop over at a performance site where Vietnamese traditional music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử – A folk art form from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) can be heard and seasonal tropical fruits can be tasted (included).
Afterward, being on a small hand-rowing boat cruising along a small creek with beautiful overhanging water coconut trees. Lives from both sides of the creek can be observed.
Passing through a bee-keeping farm and enjoying honey tea.
Visit a coconut candy shop, witness a coconut candy making process. Sample candies can be tasted.
Travel back to Saigon. Tour ends at your hotel.
